The Warren County Dog Warden’s Office is supporting the Humane Association’s efforts to curb the tremendous overproduction and destruction of unwanted and homeless pets by offering a special dog license tag shaped like a bone for an additional donation of $5. All of the money generated from the special tag goes to the Spay/Neuter Voucher Program. These spay/neuter vouchers will be available at the Animal Shelter on February 24 (National Spay/Neuter Day) and throughout the year for a $40 fee for a cat voucher, and $60 for a dog voucher. See our section on Spay/Neuter Vouchers for more information.
Dog licenses, which are $15 are required by law and are due by January 31 to avoid penalty. The special bone-shaped dog tag can only be purchased by mail or in person either from the Animal Shelter, 230 Cook Road in Lebanon, or the Warren County Auditors Office, 406 Justice Drive in Lebanon. There is a limited supply, so you need to act fast if you want one! Send age, sex, breed, color and name of dog, along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope, and we’ll mail your tag(s). Please don’t forget the extra $5 for the bone tag. Cash, or check made payable to Warren County Auditor only accepted.
