Lost
and Found Process
If you lose your pet,
call the shelter at (513) 695-1176 or visit the shelter,
daily if possible, during our business hours Monday,
Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 11 – 5, Tuesday
and Thursday 11 – 7. It is important
that you visit the animal shelters that you call so
that
you
can i dentify
your pet if it is there. It is often difficult to identify
a pet by a phone description.
Animal Receiving
If you have found
a stray and want to drop it off, or if you are dropping
off your pet, you
can bring the pet to the Animal Receiving entrance
at the shelter between the hours of 11 a.m - 4 p.m.
Monday through Saturday. If you have found a stray
and Animal Receiving is closed, but the shelter is
still open, please ring the bell and we will try to
assist you. The open hours of the Humane Association
are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 11-5, Tuesday & Thursday
11-7. Please note that it is illegal to abandon an
animal, and violaters will be prosecuted.
There is a fee of $25 to drop off
a pet if you are a Warren County resident. If you
live outside of Warren
County, the drop off fee is $80. Please remember that
many pets have microchip identification imbedded in
their bodies, so a veterinarian’s office or an
animal shelter can scan the animal and quickly find
their owner. If you are attempting to try to find the
pet’s owner yourself, you should contact local
animal shelters with information about the pet, as
the owner may be searching for it.
Please call the Dog Warden’s office at (513)
695-1352 regarding stray dogs. |
