About the event

HAWC Critter Camp: Native Species Week

Join us for an exciting hands-on adventure as we explore Ohio's incredible native wildlife! This special two-hour HAWC Critter Camp is recommended for children ages 8–12 and features our special animal ambassador, Stella Moon the Opossum. Campers will discover fascinating facts about opossums and other native Ohio species, including their habitats, unique adaptations, and the important role they play in our ecosystem.

Each Critter Camp includes hands-on animal encounters, age-appropriate educational activities, and a themed craft inspired by our featured wildlife. Led by Humane Association of Warren County staff, this interactive program encourages curiosity, compassion, and respect for the amazing animals that call Ohio home. Join us for a fun-filled morning of learning, creativity, and unforgettable wildlife experiences with Stella Moon and friends!

*Campers must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
